Music for Manifesting can be a powerful and fun tool to help you get what you want. I started putting affirmations to music quite early on in my spiritual journey. Continue reading “Music for Manifesting”
“Is the route to Happiness Sam to get a man?” asked my friend Mike, in our group WhatsApp chat. “Do you think? In your experience?”
Hmmm. Good question.
When I recovered from the audacity, absurdity and arrogance of the question, I could see that it was indeed a good question. The short answer is no, of course the route to Happiness is not to get a man! In reality it’s not as simple as that. Many women, although they may not admit it, do they think they will be happy when they’ve found a man. (Boy are they in for a shock!) For many years I was one of those women!
It’s important to remember to focus on the positive. This is something I need to remind myself of this week. I went for another job interview and once again I didn’t get the job. Needless to say I’m disappointed. I have faith though, that everything happens for a reason and that something better is on the way.
As I’ve mentioned previously, Abundance is a work in progress area for me. I do feel that at the ripe age of 43, I am making improvements in this regard and I’d like to share what I’ve learned so far.
Our unconscious mind is extremely powerful. When we harness that power, it can help us achieve more in our daily lives, overcome problems and get what we want. When I have a problem, I ask my unconscious mind for help. It’s often said that we possess all the answers within. We may not know the answers consciously, but our unconscious mind holds the key.
I have talked about the magic of Ho’oponpono in my previous blog posts. The way I understand it, Ho’oponopono is a powerful prayer that heals and transmutes karma from this life and previous existences and therefore helps us to solve our problems and achieve our goals. It is an ancient Hawaiian healing technique.
Morning affirmations are a great way to start your day on a positive note. I sometimes suffer with anxiety when I first wake up and I find affirmations are a great way to combat this. In this post I talk about some of my favourites:
Affirmations are a great way to get what you want. They’re also a great way to overcome negativity. I used to use them successfully all the time but for some reason I stopped using them as much.
Affirmations are statements or mantras that can be repeated to reinforce positive beliefs and help to make beneficial changes.
I first discovered affirmations when I read Louise Hay’s book You Can Heal Your Life around 22 years ago. I wanted a new job and more money, so I started saying something like “I have a brilliant new job with a great salary and it comes to me quickly, easily and effortlessly”. Within a week I had a new job and I’d doubled my salary.
It’s been a few weeks since I posted. I’ve had a challenging time. I must admit I’ve been feeling quite low since coming off my anti-depressants. My businesses are not going as well as I would like. My finances are shocking. I’ve had to take a job in a call centre on minimum wage. I have felt like a failure. I have felt as though the hope has run out. As if the light at the end of the tunnel has been extinguished.
I keep catching myself telling this story to myself and others and to a certain extent I know I’m wallowing in self-pity. After one particular evening where I’d been telling my ‘woe is me’ story to anyone who would listen, I realised that I need to change my story or as Abraham Hicks would say ‘Get off the subject’. I wrote about this back in 2013 in my post How to Get What You Want – Change the Subject and five years later in 2018, it seems I am still learning the same lesson.
One of my favourite books is ‘The 7 Spiritual Laws of Success’ by Deepak Chopra. In this blog post I’ve summarised it in the hope that it helps others. To find out more visit Deepak Chopra’s website https://chopra.com/articles/the-7-spiritual-laws-of-success.
