Focus on the positive

Focus on the positive

It’s important to remember to focus on the positive. This is something I need to remind myself of this week. I went for another job interview and once again I didn’t get the job. Needless to say I’m disappointed. I have faith though, that everything happens for a reason and that something better is on the way.

I also realised that I’m complaining a lot about my current job and that has to stop! According to the law of attraction what we focus on is what we get, so if I complain about my job, when I get a new job it will likely have the same problems. See my previous blog post How to Get What You Want – Focus on What You Want.

Another thing to remember is to be grateful for our current situation. One of the keys to change is accepting things as they are and focusing on the positive aspects. I complain about my job because I don’t like working evenings and weekends. There are many positive aspects of my job though. First and foremost, it is a huge relief that I am no longer constantly worrying about money. I have great colleagues, the work is easy, there is lots of downtime and I have learned a lot from this job.

What are you complaining about? What are the positive aspects? Let me know in the comments.

  1. Hey Sam your post could not have come at a better time….having just requested a reference from an ex employer which didn’t please me (although to be fair is wasn’t too terrible and actually quite true) I find myself reeling with anger, bitterness and resentment which has now dissipated after reading your post on changing my mental focus/attitude xxx

    1. Thank you so much for your feedback Carla. I’ve been meaning to text you to find out how you’re getting on. Let me know xx
